Dagmar Pinney started painting seriously in 2002 after having enrolled in a local arts program. Since that time she has had the opportunity to study under several local artists and has developed a style of her own. Dagmar's decision to establish herself as a prominent artist resulted from her love of nature and the opportunity for interpretation of that form. She has done years of collecting while working from her studio.
Dagmar is a past resident of Orangeville, was a member of the Dufferin Arts Council 'Artist in the School Program' and a member of the Orangeville Art Group. Recently moved to Lindsay, Dagmar now is associated with the Kawartha Lakes Arts Council. Retired as a special needs educator, she now puts her focus on developing new works and working with children helping them open a window into their imagination and to develop the creativity within them.
At home with her family and dogs, Dagmar is an avid gardener and has transitioned that art form into her paintings. Working with watercolours and acrylics has brought out a passion that she didn’t know she had and continues to develop with each painting.
